You will receive a professionally remanufactured Transmission Control Module (TCM) for select 2012–2013 Mazda 3 vehicles equipped with a 2.0L or 2.5L engine.

Each module is completely rebuilt and tested before shipping. Our remanufacturing process is designed to address common internal TCM failures associated with the symptoms and diagnostic trouble codes listed below.

Common TCM Failure Symptoms

• Check Engine and AT warning lights illuminated

• Transmission remains in third gear or fail-safe mode

• Hard engagement when shifting into Drive or Reverse

• Harsh, delayed, or erratic shifting

• Loss of communication with the TCM

Common Diagnostic Trouble Codes

• U0101 — Lost Communication with TCM

These symptoms and codes may be associated with a defective TCM, but they do not independently confirm that the module has failed. Proper diagnosis is required before ordering.

Important Diagnostic Notice

The customer or installing technician is responsible for confirming that the TCM is the source of the vehicle’s problem.

Before installing the replacement module, a qualified technician should inspect the transmission solenoids, wiring harness, connectors, power and ground circuits, and related components for failures or electrical shorts.

Installing a replacement TCM without correcting an existing vehicle problem may damage the replacement module and may affect warranty coverage.
